Meghan M. Maes

For over a decade Meghan has advocated for individuals and families in family law matters. Meghan is an awards-winning attorney that will use her experience to give you options to make the best decision for you and your family.

Meghan started her career at Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS) in Mankato serving low-income individuals in diverse and underserved communities enforcing the rights of families in the civil court system. Meghan served as the Lead Family Law attorney, representing clients in the Southwestern 17 counties in Minnesota.

Meghan is also a Qualified Neutral and is able to help individuals and families resolve their conflicts outside of the courtroom. Many cases can be resolved through use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). When parties want to keep their own decision making power Meghan can serve as a neutral in a voluntary and confidential process to help identify goals and eliminate barriers to allow parties to move forward.

Meghan and her husband reside in North Mankato and together have five children ranging from high school to an early learning center. When she is not practicing law Meghan likes to be near the water, traveling, and spending time with her family.
